Following the project with the capacity of 3 million tons/year put into production on June 21, another key milestone was established in the AHDEB project: the first set of equipment for natural gas desulphurization was completed on August 29, one day ahead of the schedule.

The treatment of natural gas mainly included two sets of desulphurizer, two sets of dewatering/ dealkylation equipment, sulfur recovery equipment, acid gas burning equipment, LPG spherical tank, LPG loading station, and dry gas transporting facility. The hydrogen sulfide contained in the wet gas after desulfuration would be less than 0.04%, and could be used directly as fuel gas for power station,while those contained in the acid gas would be as high as 63%, which would be delivered into the sulfur recovery equipment.

The project had been put into preliminary commissioning and debugging.
