Commencement Meeting for the LION Project of Singapore Refining Company Private Limited opens in Qingdao

LION Project of Singapore Refining Company Private Limited was another foreign project won by our East China Design Branch Office in August 20 in an international open tendering. There were five competitive design companies at home and abroad participating in the bidding. After four-round fierce competitive tender offers, East China Design Branch Office won the bid and got the base number of feasibility study/Pre-FEED.

 

From August 24 to 26, 2011, the commencement meeting for LION Project Feasibility study/Pre-FEED of Singapore Refining Company Private Limited opened in Qingdao, which showed that East China Design Branch Office made a big step forward in the international market.

 

Owner group composed by 13 persons of SRC, Project Manager and representatives of American Fluor Corporation, and representatives of East China Design Branch Office attended the meeting. Over 50 people attended the meeting, including General Manager of East China Design Branch Office Li Shengshan, Vice General Manager Liu Jian.

 

During the meeting, the Owner gave a detailed introduction of the current situation of Singapore Refinery and the reconstruction proposal, and East China Design Branch Office thoroughly introduced the structure, the execution, the operation process, the basis and method of estimating cost, and the methods of compiling feasibility. Fluor Corporation also provided some information at the meeting. And the three parties fully discussed the execution mode and plan of the project, further confirmed the scope of work and responsibilities, and deployed the work that should be done next.

 

After the meeting, designers of East China Design Branch Office confirmed the input conditions of the design, and had a detailed discussion with the Owners on the input conditions of design, which lay a good foundation for project execution.
